BRAZEN JEWELLERY WARRANTY
Your piece of Brazen jewellery is made to the highest of standards with high quality materials and automatically comes with a 1 year warranty*. This warranty ensures that should your item be deemed to have a manufacturing or design fault within the first year of purchase then we will repair or replace the parts or full item, with no charge.
Jewellery and especially rings, can come into contact with a number of surfaces or elements in any given day and will therefore be subject to natural wear and tear and possibly greater damage, even if only worn on special occasions. Once you leave the studio with your new item of jewellery it becomes your sole property and we cannot mitigate for what it is exposed to after this point. We therefore do not provide warranty cover to repair, replace or refund for damage that we deem to have occurred through general wear (which may include the loss/chipping/breaking of diamonds or gemstones**). If damage is not deemed to be a manufacturing fault then we will advise on the costs and work necessary to return your piece to full condition. Please refer to our Jewellery Care page for more information on how best to look after your jewellery.
*Please note our 1 year warranty does not extend to items such as chains, or other standard manufactured findings that we may use.
**If a stone or claw appears loose or damaged, it is important you bring it to us for examination as soon as possible.
You should also be aware when buying jewellery with diamonds or gemstones that naturally occurring stones (and also lab-created) can contain inclusions or other individual irregularities such as to colour and/or texture. Such characteristics are entirely natural and do not mean the stone is defected. We always try our best to photograph any such characteristics clearly, or show you them in person, but it is worth familiarising yourself with your diamonds/gemstones upon purchase so you know what is ‘normal’ to that specific stone. Some gemstones are also naturally more resilient than others and some will react much more to changes in environment such as temperature and sunlight. We always endeavour to advise accordingly on your stone choice but please read our Jewellery Care guide on how best to look after your jewellery. If you have any concerns regarding changes to the colour or texture of your stone we welcome you to bring it to us for an examination.
CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
In addition to the above, please also note the following conditions of warranty:
Our warranty does not cover theft or loss of your jewellery. We advise you insure your piece(s) of jewellery adequately. Further details can be found on our Jewellery Care page.
Our warranty only covers items of jewellery made by Brazen Studios. Any alterations and/or servicing carried out to a Brazen piece by another workshop/shop during the 1 year warranty period will automatically void this.
We ask you to refer to our Jewellery Care guide for how best to look after your jewellery. Your warranty is not valid if you knowingly expose your jewellery to any activity/substance etc. that would be deemed a risk.
Our aftercare includes a lifetime annual complimentary bath and steam clean for your Brazen jewellery. We encourage you to utilise this as we can also carry out a full inspection of your item(s) and check for any signs of damage or trauma. Appointments can be booked here.
We want you to be delighted with your piece of Brazen jewellery and enjoy wearing it for many years to come but please keep in mind that no item of jewellery is indestructible, even diamonds can break, so your jewellery may require some maintenance over its lifetime. It is important you regularly check your jewellery for any damage (even if you’ve only owned it for a short period of time.) Should you have any concerns we would advise you make a ‘service/repair’ appointment with us as soon as possible. You can also send your jewellery to us by secure post.**
After your warranty period has lapsed, any repair work will largely be assumed as ‘customer damage’ and will be chargeable, however we will examine each piece on a case by case basis. There is no requirement or obligation from either party, for your jewellery to be examined or repaired in our workshop after the warranty period. You may take your items to any reputable repair workshop of your choice and we may actually recommend this to you should the work required be outwith our workshop remit (i.e extensive laser work). We also reserve the right after the warranty period has lapsed to politely refuse to repair an item of jewellery for any reason, but as an example - if we deem it beyond restoration. In such instance we would provide costs for a full remake should you wish.
**Items sent by post are done so at your own risk and cost. We recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery when sending items by post to ensure they are tracked and fully insured.
